Welcome to Forest Hill Church’s Christmas Devotion series! We’re excited you’re interested in joining us on this journey during this holiday season.
Over two thousand years ago, on a quiet night, God’s Son came into the world. He was born as a tiny Baby, wrapped in humble cloths and lying in an animal’s feeding trough. His mother and father, shepherds and kings gathered around looking at that Baby. Jesus – God in human form – came into the world to save us from sin and offer us eternity in the presence of Almighty God.
Beginning December 1st and ending on Christmas Eve (December 24th), we will post daily devotions on this page. At the bottom of this page, you can sign up to receive these devotions straight to your email inbox.
These devotions can be used to guide you as you spend personal time in God’s Word each day, or they can be used with those closest to you – to read aloud with your significant other, spouse, or children.
Each devotion has 4 parts:
- Scripture, with a written devotion – Each devotion has a verse or passage from God’s Word and an insight written by a member of Forest Hill Church – staff and volunteers, teenagers and adults. There is also a short biography of the writer so you can get to know him/her.
- Reflection Questions – Each devotion has 3-5 questions designed to help you reflect on the daily Scripture and the devotion.
- Prayer – Each devotion has a short prayer you can use in response to the Scripture.
- Response – Each devotion has a link to a worship song that includes lyrics, so you can respond to God’s Word with praise and worship.
We pray these devotions will help you to remember and renew your love for Jesus Christ who came as a Baby, grew into a Man, and died for our sins so we might know God and spend eternity with Him.
